The risk of discrimination

Information about a person’s genes may, in principle, lead to discrimination for example in relation to insurance and employment.  The Faroese Human Genetic Research Act forestalls this with the following provision in Art. 10. 2 “All forms of discrimination against a person based on his or her inherited genes is banned.”
